Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider, 64, MARRIES Paul Sorvino's widow Dee Dee just 17 months after death of his wife Alicia: 'I never dreamed happiness would be possible again'​

Dukes of Hazzard alum John Schneider married Paul Sorvino's widow Dee Dee on Tuesday - 17 months after the death of his wife Alicia.

The 64-year-old actor/musician tied the knot with Sorvino, 55, in Las Vegas, following the recent loss of both their spouses within the past two years.

The country singer's third wife Alicia Allain Schneider died from breast cancer aged 53 in February 2023, while the Goodfellas actor passed away from natural causes in July 2022 aged 83.

'Big news big news everybody! DeeDee and I got hitched last night in Vegas!,' John wrote on his Facebook on Wednesday.

'Those of you who’ve been riding shotgun with me this last year and a half or so can understand that I never dreamed that happiness would be possible again.'

He continued: 'I’m here to tell you that you are stronger than you think! And those folks who have 'gone on ahead' are absolutely not only watching from above… but giving us the necessary small nudge… and the occasional kick in the butt to do the right things!'

'I honestly never thought I would ever laugh again… and now I laugh all the time. Thanks DeeDee! Thanks, Paul!! Thanks, Alicia!!!'

The announcement comes less than a week after the Smallville vet took to social media this week to reveal his late wife Alicia's ashes and his wedding ring were stolen.

He shared a photo of a small urn and wrote to his followers, 'This is one of the things that was stolen from me out of my house. Alicia’s ashes. Attached to it was a tiny urn with ashes… A silver cross with Smile and Alicia on it.'

Schneider added: 'And my wedding ring for crying out loud. I wonder if they’re going to give away my wedding ring and cross anytime soon? Truly disgusted.'

In June, John announced he was dating Dee Dee, calling their relationship 'a miracle.'

During his appearance on Grace Begins, The Podcast, he said he found love again and said he 'wouldn't be here' if it weren't for his new girlfriend.

He confessed that he was 'ready to give it all up' and found 'the very notion of dating' to be 'repulsive' following the 'really rough' loss of his wife — but that changed when he met his new love.

'The last year has been pretty wonderful. But the year before that was really rough,' he shared with hosts Cathy Cardenas and Catherine Sutherland.

'But God pays attention. God sent a widower to a widow.'

The announcement came after he gave an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com during first first Hollywood appearance since the devastating death of his wife.

A tearful Schneider delved into his struggle with losing his wife, his music and filmmaking partner, to cancer in February.

Schneider, who is most famous as Bo Duke from the iconic US TV action series, is determined that his life will be focused on helping others cope with grief, despite admitting he will never get over his own loss on an 'awful road'.

He revealed that part of his healing process after Alicia's death was to write a new album We Are Still Us to 'honor her,' even though it tested him.

Schneider spoke as part of his first on-camera interview since her death at the Drinks With Dee Dee Sorvino cabaret show in Hollywood, where he supported his now-wife.
